The most serious of all delinquent tax issues is a criminal tax matter. Many people do not realize that avoiding the IRS for a specific amount of time can be all the IRS needs to escalate their case to a criminal matter. At Nationwide Tax Relief we feel that a taxpayer should always speak with experienced representation prior to speaking with the IRS Criminal Division (CID). The IRS wins many CID cases due to statements made by a delinquent taxpayer BEFORE they hired representation.

In most cases Nationwide Tax Relief does not handle CID issues. Our tax professionals and attorneys specialize in all non-CID tax resolution work (ACS division/civil tax matters). We are not a law firm and do not represent taxpayers in court, although we have worked for occasional clients with CID issues. In these situations we were able to convince CID to remit the case back to ACS. These cases usually involve a client who contacts us immediately after hearing from CID.
